Andrzej Różycki
(born 1942)

Education: Mikolaj Kopernik University in Torun, Faculty of Fine Arts, specialization: conservation of works of art and museum studies, graduated in 1966. The Leon Schiller's National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Lodz, Faculty of Directing, graduated in 1975. Film director, photographer, screenwriter, art theoretician, lecturer in Lodz Film School. Since 1964 member of Zero-61 group. Co-founder of „Warsztat Formy Filmowej” group in Lodz. Until the end of 1990s related to Lodz progressive-avant garde milieu. Author of films from the sphere of ethnology, art and folk customs. Important role in his photographs with strong symbolic component have painting and the use of old photographs.
