Education: graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Professor Stefan Wojnecki is an artist specialising in visual arts; he is an animator and theoretician of photography. Wojnecki was the first professor in Poland to have been awarded a titular professorship in the artistic discipline, i.e. photography. Professor at the in National School of Fine Arts (now the Academy of Fine Arts) in Poznan since 1978. Wojnecki is also a long-term expert of the Higher Artistic Education Council and laureate of a number of prestigious awards and distinctions for artistic accomplishments. Member of a number of institutions focused on photography as an area of artistic exploits, professor Wojnecki is now the Head of the Computer Photography Lab of the Chair of Photography at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of the Poznań Academy of Fine Arts.
Professor Andrzej P. Bator has expressed an opinion that the artistic achievements of Stefan Wojnecki constitute a programme of intellectualization of photography.
