Rules and Conditions of The Contest VI Warsaw Festival of Art Photography 2010
Sixth edition of Warsaw Festival of Art Photography 2010 is an international project, promoting contemporary art photography, especially by young authors. This year’s festival is organized in collaboration of art universities and photography centers in Germany. Program is comprised of: the contest directed to young authors of up to 35 years old (post contest exhibition in Spokojna ASP Gallery, Spokojna 15 St., Warsaw) and the exhibition of young German photography. Within the scope of the main program, exhibitions of eminent German and renownedPolish artists will be held, as well as a series of meetings and lectures by German and Polish photographers and photography critics will take place.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST
1. The Contest is targeted at students, graduates of colleges and photographic and art universities.
2. Graduates, students of art universities as well as artists can participate in the contest (age cap is set at 35 years old)
3. Every participant can submit up to 3 photographs made in 2008 – 2010 in any: technique, field of photography and subject.
4. The works should be the property of their authors. Photographs cannot be framed.
5. The condition of participation in the contest is to make a payment in the amount of 15 EUR, to cover part of the organization costs, onto the following bank account 14 1160 2202 0000 0000 4843 5368, with the noteVI Warsaw Festival of Art Photography 2010. Photographs that will not be paid for will not be taken into account by jury and will not be sent back.
6. Contest application should contain: maximum of 3 photographs with attached descriptions, size up to A1, readable and signed participation form with a copy of a proof of a payment.(we kindly request to attach documentation of these works, their descriptions and resume ona CD). Application deadline passes on February 22, 2010.

8. Evaluation of photographs will be made be an international jury called up by the organizers. The jury will qualify photographs for the exhibition and award prizes and honorary mentions.
9. Awarded photographs shall become the property of Warsaw Festival of Art Photography.
10. The jury assembly will take place on March 10, 2010.
11. Participants of the contest will be informed about jury’s decision by email by March 15, 2010.
12. Organizers and sponsors reserve the right to reproduce free of charge photographs in marketing purposes in press, television, exhibition catalogue and other materials promoting VI Warsaw Festival of Art Photography 2010.
13. Authors are obliged to submit and pick up their works in a specified time frame at their own expense.
14. Organizers shall attend photographs with the utmost care; however, they will not be liable for their missing or damage during transport or during the exhibition. Artists can insure their works at their own discretion.
15. Authors agree to the processing of their personal data for the purposes associated with organization of the exhibition and promotion of artists.
16. Arrangement and the way the classified art works will be exhibited are at the organizers’ discretion.
17. Authors signing the participation forms accept all the rules and conditions of the exhibition.

DEADLINES:
February 22, 2010 – submitting applications (postal stamp is of significance)
March 10, 2010 – assembly of Jury
March 15, 2010 – informing the participants about the results of the contest
April 15, 2010 – post-contest exhibition in Aula Gallery and Spokojna ASP Gallery in Warsaw; presentation of awards
End of May 2010 – collection of works by participants of post-contest exhibition
